1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
19:1 KaafHaYa'aeenSaad.

$ 971 The story of Prophet Zachariah and the birth of his son John 19:2-15
19:2 A mention of the Mercy of your Lord to his worshiper Zachariah,
# ذِكْرُ رَحْمةِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّا 2
19:3 when he called upon his Lord in secret,
# إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً سَداًّ 3
19:4 saying, 'O my Lord, my bones are enfeebled, and my head glows silver with age. Yet, never Lord, have I been unblessed in prayer to You.
# قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ العَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْباً وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِياًّ 4
19:5 Indeed, I fear my kinsmen who will succeed me, for my wife is barren. Grant me a kinsman
# وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ المَوَالِيَ مِن وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِراً فَهَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِياًّ 5
19:6 who will be my heir and an heir to the House of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, satisfied.'
# يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِياًّ 6
19:7 'O Zachariah, We give you good tidings of a son, and he shall be called John (Yahya); a name We have never given before.'
# يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِياًّ 7
19:8 'How shall I have a son, Lord,' he asked, 'when my wife is barren, and I am advanced in years?'
# قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلامٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِراً وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الكِبَرِ عِتِياًّ 8
19:9 He replied, 'It shall be so; your Lord says, "It is easy for Me, indeed, I created you before time when you were not a thing."
# قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئاً 9
19:10 He (Zachariah) said, 'Lord, make for me a sign.' He replied, 'Your sign is that you shall not speak to people for three nights being without fault.'
# قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِياًّ 10
19:11 Then he came out from the Sanctuary to his nation, and gestured to them to exalt (their Lord) at the dawn and at the evening.
# فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِنَ المِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَى إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِياًّ 11
19:12 (We said), 'O John, hold fast to the Book', and We bestowed on him judgment while yet a child
# يَا يَحْيَى خُذِ الكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الحُكْمَ صَبِياًّ 12
19:13 and tenderness from Us and purity, and he was cautious;
# وَحَنَاناً مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَاةً وَكَانَ تَقِياًّ 13
19:14 honoring his parents, being neither arrogant nor rebellious.
# وَبَراًّ بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّاراً عَصِياًّ 14
19:15 Peace be upon him on the day he was born and the day he dies, and on him the day when he is raised up alive.
# وَسَلامٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وَلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَياًّ 15
